Thirty nine policemen in the district have been suspended for alleged negligence in poll duties during the ongoing panchayat elections.
Those suspended yesterday include three assistant sub-inspectors, 11 head constables and 25 constables, Shivpuri District Superintendent of Police M L Chhari said today.
The action was taken after the police personnel failed to perform their poll duties as per the rules at Khaniyadhana and Badarwas janpad panchayats, the SP added.
