3rd dengue death reported in Odisha

The death toll in dengue rose to three in Odisha today after a patient died at the SCB Medical College and Hospital here, health department officials said.

The deceased, who was from Keonjhar district, was admitted to the hospital on August 7.

The two other dengue deaths were reported on August 9 and 11, officials said.

Altogether 44 dengue patients are now under treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Of the total 4193 samples tests conducted in the state, 427 persons have been tested positive to the disease. A majority of them are from Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Cuttack districts.
