4.4-magnitude tremor felt near Kathmandu

A mild tremor measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale rocked Nepal today which was felt near the capital Kathmandu.

The aftershock was recorded at 11.57 am with epicentre at Kavre district, 55 km east of Kathmandu, according to the National Seismological Centre.

A total 368 aftershocks with 4 or more magnitude have been recorded over the past 100 days following the Gorkha earthquake of April 25.

Yesterday, a 4.1-magnitude mild tremor was felt in Nepa at 8.36 pm with epicentre at Sindhupalcowk district, 110 km east of Kathmandu.
