Four persons have been arrested for allegedly robbing a man of Rs 8 lakh at gun point in East Delhi's Geeta Colony area, police said today.
The accused have been identified as Deepak (21), Rajesh (21), Virender (23) and Pankaj (22). The mastermind, identified as Deepu, who is known to the complainant, and his main associate, Aarav, are yet to be nabbed, said police.
According to a police official, the incident was reported on September 26, when the complainant, who owns a business enterprise at Bhagirath Palace in Old Delhi, was returning home. When he stopped at an eatery near Geeta Colony, the accused men allegedly robbed him of Rs 8 lakh cash at gun point and fled in their motorbikes.

It was suspected that someone known to the complainant was involved in the incident and on October 2, when police arrested the four accused, during interrogation it emerged that the plan was allegedly hatched by Deepu, who also owns a business enterprise at Bhagirath Palace, and Aarav was roped in to arrange men for executing the plan.
It further emerged that Rajesh was previously involved in a rape case and Deepak was involved in three robbery cases. Further investigation is underway, the official added.
