"The items stolen from Singh's house situated at Hamidgunj, 58 rounds of cartridges of revolver and rifle, a licensed revolver, Rs 4000 were seized from the arrested persons," Superintendent of Police Anup T Mathew told newsmen.
The arrested persons were identified as Anil Ram, Sanjay Ram, Suresh Ram and Mannu Ram, he said today.
On 5 October, they had scaled the iron gate and entered into the upper floor of the two-story building of Singh, situated 50 yards from the police line and took away utensils, a licensed revolver and cash kept in an almirah.
Singh's wife was only present in the house when the incident took place, the police said.
A senior Congress leader, Singh was Parliamentary Affair Minister in Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's cabinet during 1980-82 and was nominated as Governor of Assam, Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram.
