4 bodies found in Manipur

The Manipur police today found and recovered four bodies from different places in the state, police said.

In the first incident, the police discovered and fished out the decomposed body of Paominlal Sitlhou (33) from the Imphal river in Manipur's Imphal East district today.

He was a resident of Khaochanbung village in Manipur's Kangpokpi district.

Sitlhou was swept away in flood waters on Tuesday last, a police officer said.

The police found another body at Lilong Atoukhong under the jurisdiction of Lilong police station in Manipur's Thoubal district today and deposited the body at Regional Institution of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Hospital morgue.
 

In the third incident, the police found the body of one Huidrom Jiten (40) at the market shed of Wabagai Pishak village near his residence under the jurisdiction of Kakching police station in Kakching district today.

The police deposited Jiten's body at RIMS hospital morgue, a police officer said.

Lastly, the police found one Lourembam Sanatomba's body near Manipur College in Imphal West district today. Sanatomba (35) was a resident of Haobam Marak and he died in a road accident, the police officer said.
