4 booked for stealing donation box from gurdwara

Four persons were booked for allegedly stealing a donation box from a Sikh shrine at Mahesari Sandhuwan village, police said today.

The accused persons allegedly took away Rs 55,000 from the 'golak' of the shrine in the village last night, they said.

The case was registered on the complaint of Kewal Singh, president of Gurdwara Mahesari Sandhuwan, police said.

The accused had been identified by the CCTV camera installed in surrounding areas of the gurdwara, they said, adding, a search has been launched to nab the accused.
