Four District Collectors appeared before the Madras High Court today in connection with contempt petitions filed against them.
The Collectors of Kancheepuram, Villupuram, Thiruvallur and Cuddalore were present before the First Bench, comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice M Sathyanarayananin on different contempt cases filed against them.
The contempt faced by the Collector of Kancheepuram was with regard to non implementation of orders relating to encroachments as per the orders of the High Court.
Likewise the other Collectors also appeared before the bench.
