Four persons have died after consuming spurious in Kanpur where they were working with as labourers, police said here today.
The victims, identified as Mahendra (30), Rifat (35), Visheshwar (35)and Amarnath (45), all residents of Bidanpur consumed illicit liquor at a construction site in Kanpur where they were working yesterday, they said.
All of them where were rushed to a nearby hospital where Mahendra condition deteriorated and he died following which the rest three were immediately taken to Allahabad but the trio also died on their way, police said.
The bodies have been sent for post mortem examination, police added.
