Four persons, including three of a family, were killed today after inhaling poisonous gas in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan.
The incident occurred in Sevar area when 12-year-old Jaiprakash fell into an old water tank in the house and his brother Gajendra (24) went in to rescue him. However, he fell unconscious inside the tank, they said.
"To rescue them, his neighbour Prakash (40) went down but he also fell sick. His wife Meera (35) and son Harendra (18) too fell unconscious after entering it," SHO Sevar police station Lakhan Khatana said.
The victims were later rushed to a hospital, where Gajendra, Prakash, Meena and Harendra died, he said, adding Jaiprakash's condition is stated to be stable.
