Four DMK workers were today arrested for allegedly distributing money to voters in Srirangam area, days before the upcoming bypolls in the area, police said.
The DMK workers were arrested on the orders of the Election Officer after they were allegedly caught giving money to voters at Raghavendrapuram, where the bypolls are scheduled to be held on February 13, police said.
An amount of Rs 52,000 was also seized from them, they said.

The election officer rushed to the spot after the locals informed him about distribution of money and ordered their arrest, police said.
Meanwhile, three DMK workers were today injured in a clash with AIADMK party workers over alleged distribution of money in the same area, police said.
All of them have been hospitalised. A vehicle was damaged in the incident, police said.
