4 doctors and 4 nurses suspended

Four doctors and four nurses of Agartala government medical college were suspended a month after a patient's lower abdomen was cut open and urinary tract operated instead of a mouth biopsy, official sources said today.

Sources said, government instituted an inquiry and found that the medical team including four doctors and as many nurses were at fault and later they were served notices why actions would not be taken against them.

Sources said following receipt of their replies, the government decided to suspend them.
