4 drown in Yamuna while taking holy dip

One woman and three teenagers, including two twin brothers, drowned in Yamuna river today while taking a dip on the occasion of Ganga Dushehara festival, police said.

DSP Mukul Dwivedi confirmed the deaths of the woman and the twin brothers in his Mant police station area.

According to police, the two deceased 16-year-old twins have been identified as Luv and Kush while the woman victim was identified as the 20-year-old Sapna.

In another incident, DSP Asim Chaudhary confirmed the death of the 13-year-old Vishnu in the Yamuna at Jugal Ghat in Vrindaban.

Vishnu's body could not be recovered even after the search had gone on for 12 hours, police said, adding that they would continue with their efforts to retrieve the body.
