Four persons, who looted a warehouse of a distributor firm in Brijpuri and killed a security guard posted there after reportedly taking a cue from a Bollywood movie, have been arrested, police said today.
According to police, Purushotam (28), Dinesh (20), Rajbir (25) and his wife Sangita (20) had plotted the crime after claiming to have watched Bollywood movie "Bombay to Goa" and inspired to become super rich overnight. Dinesh was a former employee of the company and worked in the logistics wing.
"The accused also hired criminals from Uttar Pradesh to execute the crime perfectly and with their help, they scaled the high walls and reached the roof of the third floor of the warehouse. The guard on the roof resisted and was killed by the accused. As per plan, they got into the warehouse, broke the safe and took the money and fled away," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.

On September 6, a body was found at the office of a private company near Victoria Public School, Brijpuri, Delhi. The deceased was identified as Mukti Paswan employed as security guard at the company, he added.
It was found that a large steel chest kept for safe custody of cash was broken and Rs 10 lakh found missing, said police.
Investigation in the case showed a few persons involved in the crime are planning to flee from Delhi, following which a raid was conducted and all the four were apprehended, said police.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to their crime of murder and dacoity.
"Dinesh, an ex-employee of the company, was aware that cash collection of the company is kept in the safe on the third floor of the warehouse. He shared the idea of looting this cash with his neighbour Rajbeer. Subsequently, Rajbeer, his wife Sangeeta and Dinesh hatched the conspiracy to loot this cash. For having adequate manpower to accomplish their plan, Rajbeer's brother in law Purshotam was included in the plan since he had links with the criminals operating in UP, said Yadav.
