4 held with tiger skin, 25 kg bones

Police today arrested four persons and seized a tiger skin and 25 kg bones of the big cat from their possession in Raiwala area of Uttarakhand's Dehradun district.

Mirhamja, Mohd Alam, Santosh Duggal and Gami were arrested with the nearly 12-foot-long tiger skin and bones weighing 25 kg by a team of Uttarakhand Police's Special Task Force in Teen Pani area of the district, police said.

Among the four accused, three are residents of Uttarakhand and one belongs to Biharigarh of Uttar Pradesh.

In the last two months, it is the sixth tiger skin seized in the state.

On March 14, STF Uttarakhand had seized five tiger skins and 125 kg of tiger bones with a poacher in Haridwar district.
