4 IIS officers transferred

Four Indian Information Service (IIS) officers were transferred today, according to an official order.

The transfers or posting of IIS Group 'A' officers were with immediate effect, the order of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said.

Yogesh Kumar Baweja, who was serving as the media advisor in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), will be the additional director general at the Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP), according to the order.

He will work for the Bureau of Outreach Communication, an entity formed by merging of the DFP, Song and Drama Division (S&DD) and the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP), it said.

 

Two director-level officers and one assistant director-level officer were also transferred.

Since November, there have been a number of transfers of IIS officers, IIS Group 'A' Officers Association president Anindya Sengupta.

Earlier, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore had said that senior IIS officers were transferred on "functional requirement and on recommendation of the Civil Services Board, which considers all aspects before recommending the same.
