Four Indians have been arrested in Nepal for allegedly defrauding a woman on the pretext of doubling her gold ornaments, police said.

Pintu Nat, Mukhilal Nat, Bhuwan Nat and Binod Nat, who hail from Uttar Pardesh's Baliya, landed in the police net at the Parsa district yesterday, DSP Chakra Raj Joshi said.

The accused asked the victim, a resident of Murli Chok in Birgunj metropolitan city-13, to handover her gold ornaments so that they could start the process to double them on the same day, The Himalayan Times reported.

As the accused tried to decamp with the ornaments, police laid a trap and arrested the accused.
