4 injured in clash over land dispute in UP

Four persons were injured in a clash which took place between two groups allegedly over a land-related dispute in Ghiloa village here.

The incident happened yesterday when two persons, Rama Kant Tiwari and Sunil Mishra of Dak Bungalia area went to Ghiloa village where they got into a heated argument with some youths over some property dispute, police said today.

The argument soon turned violent and both the groups resorted to firing. Two motorcycles were also set on fire in the clash, they said.

The injured persons have been admitted to hospital, Circle Officer (City) Mahesh Chandra said, adding, additional police force have been deployed in the village to prevent any untoward incident.
 

Meanwhile in a similar incident, five persons were injured in a clash over land dispute in Kabirpur village here, police said.

The clash took place between two persons, Devendra and Maya devi of the same village, they said.

Devendra along with his aides allegedly assaulted Maya devi and other persons of her group.

The injured have been admitted to hospital where condition of Maya devi was stated to be serious, police said.

An FIR has been filed against Devendra and his aides, police said, adding, no arrest has been made so far and the matter is being investigated.
