4 killed, 2 injured in separate road mishaps

Four persons were killed while two others seriously injured in two separate road mishaps in the district, police said today.

A local scribe Gyanendra Singh (28) was killed when his bike collided with another two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction yesterday night while he was on his way home in Lakhimpur, police said.

Pushpendra Singh (32) alongwith his younger brother Upendra, who were travelling on the two-wheeler, were seriously injured following which both were rushed to the hospital.

While Pushpendra was declared brought dead, his brother was stated to be critical, police said.

In a separate accident in Sampurnanagar, Madhav (24) and Chillo (21) were killed after a speeding jeep allegedly ran over them while their friend Moti Lal was seriously injured, police said today.
 

The jeep driver fled away from the spot after the accident, leaving the vehicle on the spot.

The three were the residents of Dinapur in Nepal and were waiting for some vehicle on the road, police said.

Police is probing both the cases, they said.
