4 killed, 4 hurt in two road mishaps

Four persons were killed and as many injured seriously in two separate road accidents at different places in far-flung areas of the district when the vehicles in which they were travelling fell into a gorge, Superintendent of Police, Chamba B M Sharma said today.

Five school children who took lift in a tractor, on its way from Gharo to Nayagran in Holi tribal sub-tehsil of the district, were seriously injured when the tractor suddenly rolled down the road at Gharat Nala near Nayagran.

All the injured were rushed to a nearby civil hospital but two of them succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital.
 

In another road mishap at Nadu Nala near Brangal in Bhalei sub-tehsil, two persons including the driver of the vehicle Praveen Kumar and Ramesh Kumar died on the spot when their car went out of control and rolled down the road.
