Four persons were today killed and as many injured after a private luxury bus carrying them rammed into a container in Nirmal Pimpari village near here, police said.
"The mishap occurred early this morning when a bus was going to Pune from Ujjain. The bus, while trying to overtake a container carrying windmill fans, rammed into it," Additional Superintendent of Police (Srirampur) Sanjay Jadhav said.
Prima facie, the bus driver lost control over the vehicle as he fell asleep, the officer said.
A case under relevant sections of IPC was registered and investigations are underway, police said.
