Four persons, including two women, were killed and five injured when the bus carrying them hit the side wall of a bridge here early today.
The driver of the bus heading towards Coimbatore from Kulachel in Kanyakumari district, lost control of the vehicle around 4 AM, resulting in the mishap, police said.
Driver Biju and three passengers died on the spot, they said.
The five injured passengers were admitted to the Palayamkottai Government hospital, police said.
