Four persons, including a woman, were killed and five others injured today when the van in which they were travelling dashed into a lorry in Andhra Pradesh's Medak district, police said.
The accident occurred at Nagalapalli cross roads under Toopran police station limits at around 1 AM after the four-wheeler carrying the victims rammed into a lorry when it suddenly came on main road from an adjoining road, resulting in the death of three persons on the spot, they said.
"One more person died while undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Hyderabad and five others who were injured in the mishap have been rushed to different hospitals. The condition of two injured is serious," a police official said.
Further investigations are on, he said.
