4 killed, 6 injured in group clash, firing in Rajasthan

Four people were killed and six injured in a clash that broke out between two groups Thursday due to an old rivalry in Bhilgawan village here, police said.

The incident occurred under Sadar police station area in the morning when members of two groups clashed after heated arguments, Superintendent of Police (Dholpur) Dusht Daman Singh said.

Four people were killed and six injured in the exchange of fire, the SP said.

The families of Ram Ratan Kushwah and Amar Singh Kushwah had a past rivalry owing to some issues, and were fighting court cases against each other.

Additional police force has been deployed in the village to avert any untoward incident, the officer said.

 

The deceased were identified as Vikram Singh (32), Deepu (22) and Pati Ram Kushwah (40) and Ram Swaroop (60). The injured were undergoing treatment, he added.

A case was registered and investigation underway, police said.
