At least four persons died and over half-a-dozen sustained injuries when a jeep carrying marriage party fell into a gorge near Sahiya here.
According to GVK EMRI emergency service provider, the occupants of the jeep were travelling from Sahiya to Sureyo to attend a marriage ceremony.
The injured, some of them critical, were admitted to Sahiya hospital. State and district relief and rescue teams have arrived at the scene.
Chief Minister Harish Rawat has expressed his condolences.
