A state official and three other people have died a small plane crash in northern Mexico.
A spokesman for the Coahuila state attorney general's office said today that the crash occurred after 8 p.M. Wednesday. He said the crash occurred in a remote northern area between Muzquiz and Boquillas.
The spokesman requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly
Rogelio Diaz de Leon is administrative coordinator in the state economic development agency. He confirms that one of those killed was the agency's deputy secretary, Francisco Garcia Castells Alanis. Diaz says his co-worker was on vacation and travelling with his brother-in-law.
Diaz says he doesn't know who the other passengers were.
