4 killed in separate road accidents in UP

Four persons were killed and two others were injured in two separate road accidents in Mathura district, police said today.

Two youths were killed and two others were injured yesterday, when the car they were traveling rammed against a tree in front of Karshani Ashram Goverdhan on Anyor Parikrama road.

"Of the two injured, while one is critical and fighting for life, other is recovering," police said.

The deceased have been identified asRupesh Agrawal (22) and Peeyush (23) who had gone to Sonkh to attend a marriage, police said.

The condition of one of the injured is critical and the other is recovering, SP City Alok Priyadarshi said.
 

Meanwhile, in another accident two youths were killed when the car they were traveling was hit by a speeding truck yesterday on the outskirts of Sonai village.

Upendra Kushwah (28) and Jitendra succumbed toinjuries on the spot, Dy SP Surendra Singh Yadav said.

The hunt for truck driver who fled from the spot is on, he said.
