4 killed in separate road mishaps in UP

Four persons, including two students and a woman, were killed and over seven others injured in separate road accidents in different parts of the districts, police said today.

Two class X students identified as Ajay Mishra and Sandip were killed after being run over by a truck near Cilauli on Lucknow-Sultanpur national highway.

As their bike overturned, another person identified as Vinod Yadav, who was riding the bike received injuries, police said, adding that the truck fled from the spot.

In another incident, 50-year-old Aisha Khatun was killed and more than seven persons were injured when the tempo they were travelling in overturned after it hit a bike on Jagdishpur-Bazarshukul road, they said.
 

Some serious passengers were referred to trauma centre Lucknow, police said.

Another person Chandrabhan alias Chauhan of Sonari Kala was killed when his bike hit an electric pole after he lost control over it under police station Sangrampur.

He was rushed to district hospital but succumbed to injuries, police said.
