All four people on board a plane, including two women, were killed when the six-seater light aircraft crashed in Somerset, British police said.
The plane came down near the village of Churchinford yesterday on its way from from Surrey to Dunkeswell aerodrome, an airfield in east Devon, police said.
Crews from the Devon and Somerset fire and rescue service and the South Western ambulance service joined police at the scene.

"This is a very sad incident in which four people have tragically lost their lives," said Superindent Richard Corrigan of Avon and Somerset police.
"It's too early to give any further details about the victims, but we're ensuring specially trained officers are making contact with their next of kin and giving them all the support they need.
"We've been working very closely with our colleagues from the other emergency services at the scene to make the area safe and ensure the resulting investigation can proceed. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has been informed and is deploying a team of investigators.
The fire service deployed 27 firefighters in six vehicles, and the ambulance service dispatched two vehicles, an officer and the Exeter-based hazardous area response team.
The Exeter-based Devon air ambulance and a police helicopter also attended.
