"Five critically injured persons were brought to the hospital by Yamuna Expressway ambulance. Four of them were declared brought dead. One critically injured was admitted in a serious condition," they said.

The deceased were identified as Arvind, Harvinder, Puneet and Hemant.

Police said fog was the cause of mishap. Some vehicles collided on the Expressway causing injury to four persons, who were rushed to a nearby hospital and discharged after first aid.

Last week, a vehicle pile up was reported in which several persons were injured.

Yamuna Expressway management said they have displayed caution boards warning drivers to use anti-fog light and drive slow, but commuters complained that driving at night was very dangerous as there was no light on the Expressway to avoid cows, dogs and other stray animals.
