4 lakh NDMC school students to benefit under PM 'Bima Yojana'

NDMC will provide benefit of 'Pradhan Mantri Surakhsa Bima Yojana' to 4 lakh municipal school children through their mothers, 70 thousand employees and 80 thousand old-age pensioners, its mayor today said.

After implementation of the scheme, the beneficiaries and their families will have financial security. It will be a milestone of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation in social responsibility, Mayor Ravinder Gupta said.

He also said that under this scheme, the contract employees and daily wagers would be benefited.

It has been decided that North Corporation will pay the premium from the Municipal Fund. The beneficiary will have risk coverage of Rs 2 lakh for accidental death and permanent total disability and Rs 1 lakh for permanent partial disability under this scheme.
