4 med officers among 26 govt officials found absent during

Over two dozen government officials, including four medical officers, were today found absent during a surprise inspection of 23 government offices in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

The inspection teams, under the supervision of Additional District Development Commissioner A S Chib, also took note of a number of lapses and submitted a detailed report to District Development Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary for disciplinary action.

Special squads, led by district officers, conducted the inspection simultaneously at government offices in Darhal, Thanamandi, Plangar, Fatehpur, Manjakote, Kakora, Ghambir and Doongi.

"During the inspection, 26 officials were found absent, while a number of lapses in discipline and office management were noted," the officials said.
 

They added that 22 of these officials, including four medical officers, were found absent during the inspection of the community health centre, Darhal, medical sub-centre, Ujhan, and public health centres at Dodaj, Chatyar and Manjakote.

During the inspection of the schools at Darhal, the teachers were found present but not taking classes, the officials said.
