4 militants arrested

Manipur police arrested four militants belonging to different outlawed militant organisations from different places of Imphal East and Imphal West districts, a press release said today.

A team of Imphal East district police commando of Manipur police arrested two active members of outlawed militant outfit People revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) Bramacharimayum Goro Sharma (34) and Mandengbam Shamu Singh (50) both from Kongpal Khaidem Leikai of Imphal East district while conducting search operation at Thambalkhong area of the same district on January 13 last, the release said.

In another search operation, on January 14 last, at Maibam Leikai area in Manipur's Impal West district two hardcore members of outlawed People's Liberation Army (PLA) Keisham Chandrakumar Singh (58) of Porompat Thawanthaba Leikai and Chungkham Motilal Singh (50) of Nungmeibung Pung Makhong both from Manipur's Impphal East district were arrested by a team of Imphal West district police commando, the release said.
