4 more die of swine flu in Indore, toll mounts to 29

Four more persons succumbed to swine flu in Indore taking the toll in the district due to the H1N1 virus to 29 this year, a senior official said today.

Asha Pandit, district in-charge of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) said, patients who succumbed to swine flu include two women aged 26 and 46 respectively and two men aged 34 and 42 respectively.

These patients have died during past 14-days but the hospital provided the information to IDSP today, she said.

She also said the Greater Kailash Hospital would be served notice for furnishing delayed information about the deaths of two swine flu patients.
 

Pandit said as many as 92 patients of city hospitals have tested positive for swine flu since January this year and 29 out of them have died.
