4 of family among 6 killed in two road mishaps in Rajasthan

Six persons, including four members of a family from Punjab, were today killed and two others injured in two separate road mishaps in Rajasthan, police said.

Four members of a family were killed on the spot and two others injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a truck at Rawatsar in Hanumangarh district around 9 AM, police said here.

The deceased hailing from Abohar in Punjab were identified as Sriram (60), his wife Sumar (55), nephew Ravindra and his wife Anu, they said.

The injured were rushed to the Rawatsar Government Hospital, police said, adding that they on way from Abohar to Jaipur when the accident occurred.
 

In another mishap, two youths -- Javar Singh and Nandlal -- riding a motorcycle were crushed to death by a truck in Kotwali area of Jhalwar district, police said. The deceased were going to Suket when the accident occurred, they added.

In both accidents, the truck drivers and cleaner fled the scenes.
