Four persons were killed today in two separate road accidents in the district, police said.
Modi Nagar police station SHO Deepak Sharma said three persons died when the motorbike they were riding hit a tractor trolley near Mohan Park intersection around 4AM today.
Raju, Mukesh and Hasman, all residents of Raghupuri Colony in Mangolpuri, were going towards Haridwar for a holy dip in the Ganges when the accident took place.
They were rushed to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared all of them dead on arrival.
An FIR has been registered, police said. The tractor driver fled the spot after the accident, leaving behind his vehicle, police said, adding that tractor trolley has been seized.
In a separate accident, an unidentified youth was crushed to death by an unidentified vehicle near Vijay Nagar bypass while he was trying to cross the road in the wee hours of today.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that efforts are on to identify the victim.
