4 poachers held near Kaziranga National Park

At least four poachers were arrested near Kaziranga National Park (KNP) by a joint team of Forest Guards and the Special Task Force.

According to Forest Department officials, the joint operation was launched during the wee hours at Harmotty village near KNP and when four persons were nabbed.

The poachers have been identified as Miraz Ali, Bhaiti Engti, Abu Siddique and Ghiasuddin.

Officials said one silencer of .303 rifle was also recovered during the operation.
