4 women injured in buffalo attack near Manas National Park

Four women were seriously injured by a herd of wild buffaloes at a Tea Estate near Manas National Park in Assam's Barpeta district today.

The women had gone to collect firewood from Fatemabad Tea Estate adjacent to Bahbari Range of the Park when they came in front of the herd coming from opposite side, police said.

The four identified as Sukhmati Baraik, Hiteswari Sutradhar, Damayanti Sutradhar and Dhaniya Pradhan were taken to Barpeta Medical College Hospital and their condition was stated to be critical, police said.
