Over 400 exhibitors are showcasing their products in the three-day India International Garment Fair, which commenced here today.
"This fair provides the Indian exporters an opportunity to exhibit their products, which meets the international quality and technology standards.
"Events like these give a boost to the 'Make in India' programme as the platform encourages smaller players and debutants to work towards making it a reality," Minister of State for Textiles, Ajay Tamta, said while inaugurating the fair.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of Apparel Export Promotion Council Ashok G Rajani said that riding on the wave of the recently announced textiles package, this edition of the fair is witnessing huge number of exhibitors.
Last month, the government approved a Rs 6,000 crore special package for textiles & apparel sector to create one crore new jobs in three years, attracting investments of USD 11 billion and generating USD 30 billion in exports.
