In an alarming situation, at least 41 people have been tested positive for dengue in the last two days here, the state health department said today.

However, CMO Y S Thapaliyal said the situation was under control with the condition of all patients improving.

Out of the 41 people who have been tested positive for the virus, 40 are from a single locality called Pathribagh whereas one person is from Jogiwala, he said.

However, it is heartening that all the patients are showing signs of improvement with their fevers coming down, the CMO said.

Fogging is being carried out across the city and people are being made aware of the precautionary measures they can take to prevent the disease, Thapaliyal said.

The situation is perfectly under control and there is no need to panic.
