446 Indians languishing in Pak, 4 other nations even after

As many as 446 Indians were in prisons or deportation centres in five countries, including Pakistan, even after completion of their sentences, government told Lok Sabha today.

Replying to a written question, Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh also said Indian missions/posts regularly take with the respective foreign governments the early release of Indian prisoners who have completed their sentences.

As per information available, 446 Indian nationals are in prisons/deportation centres in five countries i.E Bahrain (7), Bangladesh (18), Malaysia (246), Pakistan (174) and Syria (1), even after completion of their sentences, the minister added.
