A 45-year-old man was today found murdered at his rented accommodation in southeast Delhi's Tughlaqabad Extension.

Bhagirath, a tailor by profession, had a deep wound on his throat which was caused by a sharp object. A case of murder was registered at Govindpuri police station, a senior police official said.

During investigation it emerged that Bhagirath had a fight yesterday night with another tailor. Both of them were reported to be in an inebrated state, police said.

The other tailor has turned out to be a prime suspect in the case.

The suspect was not found at his residence when a police team reached his place. He had also not come home since last night, the official said.

"Investigation is underway and a police team is looking for the suspect," the official added.
