45-yr-old constable shot dead in UP

A 45-year-old constable posted with fire brigade police was shot dead allegedly by his two colleagues over some property dispute, police said today.

Mukesh, posted with Jalesar fire brigade, was shot dead just outside the Jalesar tehsil late last night, they said.

The alleged accused Ran Singh, posted with fire brigade, Aligarh and Purshottam with Etah fired from very close range killing him on the spot, police said, adding that a case has been lodged and the search is on to nab the duo

According to the father of the deceased, the two had offered their plot of land for building a house in Agra for which he and his son had transferred six bigha land in their village to them.
 

As the duo did not keep the deal and denied handing over the Agra plot, the deceased denied handing over the village land to them, leading to a dispute, he added.
