46 passengers injured in separate road mishaps in J&K

As many as 46 passengers were injured in separate road accidents in Udhampur, Jammu and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

33 persons were injured, with some of them serious, when a passenger bus collided with a truck on a national highway at Bali Nallah in Udhampur district yesterday, police said here today.

The bus was on its way from Doda to Jammu when it collided with the truck, they said, adding police personnel were rushed to the spot and the injured were shifted to district hospital at Udhampur.

Meanwhile, in another accident, 8 persons were injured when their mini bus skidded-off the road and turned turtle in Barnai area of Jammu yesterday, they said.
 

The mini bus was on its way to Mishriwala from Jammu when the incident took place, they said, adding the injured were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital for treatment.

In Reasi district, five persons were injured in two separate road accidents at Barakh and Nomain area of the district, they said.

The injured passengers have been shifted to hospital, police said.

Police has registered cases and initiated investigations, they said.
