Officials of the excise department have seized 464 cartons of illicit liquor and arrested one person in this connection in Jansath area here.
A team of the department last evening intercepted a truck at Laadla check post for routine checking and seized 464 cartons of liquor from it. One person, identified as Lal Singh, has been arrested in this connection, District Excise Officer Karunrdra Singh said today.
A case has been registered in this regard under relevant sections of the IPC and Excise Act.
