480 ITBP recruits pass out

As many as 480 recruits of

General Duty (GD) today passed out from Basic Training Centre (BTC) of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force at Bhanu in Panchkula district.

Raja Babu Singh, IG Training Zone was the Chief Guest and took salute from the recruits.

The Parade was commanded by Ravindra Singh, an official release said here.

The trainees were given 44 weeks of rigorous training, which commenced on December 9, 2013.

These recruits were trained in the field of drill, weapon, map reading, judo and rock climbing.

To sharpen their skills, various competition and demonstrations where included as the part of training curriculum, the release said.
 

During the training Cadet GD Yogeshwar Singh was adjudged overall best while Cadet GD Ravindra Singh in Drill, Cadet GD Nur Hussain in weapon, Cadet GD Amit Kumar in Physical, Cadet GD Hariom Kumar in Shooting, Cadet GD Sunny in Sports were awarded with respective trophies by the Chief Guest.

Of the newly inducted constables, 17 are from Haryana, 34 from Himachal Pradesh, 29 from Punjab, 60 from Uttarakhand and two from Chandigarh.

The representation from other states included Assam 24, Andhra Prdesh 11, Bihar 57, Chhatisgarh 4, Delhi 3, Gujrat 11, Jharakhand 34, Madhya Pradesh 14, Manipur 1, Maharastra 14, Rajasthan 5 and Jamu and Kashmir 20.

Singh, while speaking on the occasion, said that the training imparted in BTC has laid a strong foundation for the future of these constable of this elite force.

He also wished all newly inducted constables, a service full of honesty, discipline and enthusiasm.
