4th International sailing regatta begins

Trainee sailors from 13 countries, including hosts India, will compete for top honours in the fourth edition of the annual International Sailing Regatta for the Admiral's Cup that started here today.

The five-day event would see trainees from many international Naval Academies compete over a designated circuit in the Ettikulum Bay on Laser (Radial) class sail boats, an Indian Naval Academy release said.

One team each from United Kingdom, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Fiji, Oman, Qatar, Tunisia and United Arab Emirates, apart from India, would compete in eight races, the release said.
