5.3-quake jolts NW Pakistan

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale today hit northwest Pakistan.

There was no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.

Seismological Centre said an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 on Richter scale jolted Swat, Ghazar, including Malakand and Baltistan Division.

The epicentre of the quake was the bordering area of Afghanistan and Tajikistan at a depth of 112 kilometres.
