5 arrested for attempting to kill family of trader

Badalpur Police today claimed to have arrested five persons when they were on their way to eliminate a family of a trader they had killed last week.

The accused had killed Ajipal Gurjar, a trader in Badalpur, on June 21. Today, acting on a tip-off, the police arrested them when they were going to kill his family, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Love Kumar said.

They were also involved in the killing of a liquor shop salesman in Dankaur area on June 11, he said.

"One of the accused, Yoginder alias Yogi, carried a reward of Rs 5,000. The other four have been identified as Sachin Bhati, Amit Bansal, Jetan Bhadana and Nitin Sharma," the SSP said.
 

They are all contract killers and members of a notorious criminal gang of the area, the officer claimed.
