There was a five-car pile-up in south Delhi's Dhaula Kuan area today, causing traffic congestion in the morning hours.
According to police, one of the vehicles applied emergency brake and it was hit by the car following it, leading into a pile-up of five cars within seconds.
The incident caused congestion in the area but traffic flow was eased following intervention of officials deployed at the spot.
Later in the day, Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai tweeted, "Traffic Police has informed Dhaula Kuan incident has nothing to do with odd/even. Incident caused by traffic regulation outside a school.
